My Philosophy

Everything!_edited.jpg

When we talk about integrative health, we must envision an approach to health care that includes both culture repair and tending to the health of our precious earth-home.  There is no health care that only addresses the individual without also caring for the community. There is no individual wellness without the health of the soils, the waters, the air, the forests, and the animals.

The vision of integrative health care that I serve supports the remembering of what it means to live in responsibility and service to Life. It is a prayer for humanity to embrace gratitude and sacred reciprocity as a tenant of living beautifully.

I am committed to supporting humanity as we turn the page of history in this pivotal moment of our planet's evolution. I bring my work in service to the greater remembering and liberation happening on the planet.

My Approach

*I believe in the healing power of our bodies, minds, and souls.  We are designed to repair and we have all the intelligence within us to respond when we get hurt.  Given the right conditions of safety, love, and care - people are capable of incredible shifts. When we learn to embrace even the most seemingly stuck places inside us, they begin to shift.

*One of the biggest ways I can support you is to help you feel safe and loved.  Experiencing these things are the precursors to being able to heal.  Healing is not pushing, it is listening. It is honouring.

*We are not here to not heal alone. Healing happens with support and healing happens in community.

*Your being is the source of your own healing. As a practitioner, I see it as my responsibility to remind you that you have all the wisdom and strength that you need to meet the world. I may hold space for healing to happen, but you are the guide. You know your terrain better than anyone and you also know how to best traverse it.

*Love is the ultimate force in the universe. Nothing is more powerful in the universe than Love. â€‹

*We are a microcosm of the earth. We are subject to the same elemental experiences that she is in the ways she is shaped by water, wind, and earth. Our health thrives when we harmonize with her cycles and seasons. We are fashioned by and maintained by the earth while we are in these bodies, and we return back into her when our bodies stop holding our spirits. Her plants and roots and barks and flowers give us the medicine we need to live in  balance. And she gives us all the instruction we need in order to lead our lives. Part of healing is listening.

*We are here to co-create our reality. In order to do that, we must move away from the seduction of carrying a sense of victimhood around our lives. Learning to accept radical self responsibility for our lives means getting out of our own ways and learning to entrust Life with what we cannot understand with our minds.

*Along our healing journey we must learn to face our shadows and to resist the seduction of getting too comfortable. Facing our fears and leaning into challenge is what fuels our growth and our awakening.

*Our personal healing is one of the greatest gifts that we can give to the world. We serve the world vis-a-vis the vehicle of self that we embodied in order to experience. Our healing is connected to the collective field, and it serves life - backwards and forwards. Our healing serves our family, our community, and our larger society.

We heal with the support of the unseen ones at our back - our guides, our ancestors, the ancestors of the lands we inhabit, the spirit of the plants and animals and earth spirits where we live. There is so much help available to us - when we remember to ask for it. Asking for help is one of the bravest things you can do.

“Heal yourself with the light of the sun and the rays of the moon. With the sound of the river and the waterfall. With the swaying of the sea and the fluttering of birds. Heal yourself with mint, neem, and eucalyptus. Sweeten with  lavender, rosemary, and chamomile. Hug yourself with the cocoa bean and a hint of cinnamon. Put love in tea instead of sugar and drink it looking at the stars. Heal yourself with the kisses that the wind gives you and the hugs of the rain. Stand strong with your bare feet on the ground and with everything that comes from it. Be smarter every day by listening to your intuition, looking at the world with your forehead. Jump, dance, sing, so that you live happier. Heal yourself, with beautiful love, and always remember...you are the medicine.”
- Maria Sabina, Mexican healer and poetess
